Putnam County Sheriff Kevin McConville, Carmel Police Department Chief Anthony Hoffmann and Kent Police Department Chief Kevin Owens announced today that Putnam County police agencies and STOP-DWI Coordinators will participate in special efforts to bring awareness to the dangers of impaired driving. He was arraigned in the Town of Philipstown Court. On December 14, 2023, Investigators learned that Moye was to be in White Plains City Court on an unrelated matter he was taken into custody without incident. Further investigation based on DNA evidence was gathered, and a warrant was issued for the arrest of 23-year-old Steven Moye. Investigators were contacted by the MTA Police, who had dealt with the same individual at the Garrison train station earlier that evening. Based on the video footage that showed a suspect, a bulletin was sent out to law enforcement agencies for assistance in identifying the suspect. Deputies and Investigators began an investigation that included reviewing surveillance camera footage and collecting blood and fingerprint evidence. On August 3, 2022, at approximately midnight, Deputies were sent to a residence on Route 9D for a burglary complaint, whereby the tenant at the residence came home and found that a sliding glass door was broken, and items were taken from inside. McConville reports the arrest of a Haledon, New Jersey, man after investigating a residential burglary in the Town of Philipstown.
